Is another mans treasure. I'm in a small town and people know everyones business. (bugs me still as I grew up in a city) All summer I have to take dirty kitty litter and tons of cat food cans to the dump/recycling. Today one of the garbage men asked me if I would take some kittens. Someone left 3 little kittens at the dump. I suppose if you think they are trash and want to dump them then the dump seems the logical place. At least logical to a heartless moron! Anyway they sound like they are about 5 or 6 weeks old and one is either not very good about eating solid food or sick. I won't be getting them until this evening, as the garbage man took them to his house already, everybody pray the little furbaby just needs to be bottle fed and isn't sick!

Hope the kittens make it ok. I wish I could take more in, but I'm already pushing my lease with three. I hope when we buy our own house someday we can have more if we want. 5 or 6 weeks is pretty young. Good luck with them and finding homes for them if you decide to.

If the kittens have diarrhea, a drop or two of Amoxy-drops usually cures this. Where are you, by the way?

Navy (tuxedo) Orange (brown tabby) and Periwinkle (gray with light stripes) are doing great. Orange was the sick one. All I could find wrong was worms and that was after she'd already had her worming medicine. She went from 12oz to 15oz in her first 3 days here. There were originally 6 in the litter but the other 3 died, probably from worms/dehydration. Picture to follow sometime next week. Just now, someone bringing over proof of neuter on a kitten they adopted from me earlier this summer fell in love with Orange. She says it will be a long month to wait before I'll let her take her home at 9 weeks.

If the kittens have diarrhea a sample to work (hospital lab) to find out what medicine is right works much better. The amoxicillin wouldn't have done much for their worms.

Orange is the brown tabby (already has a home ready for her) Navy is the tux and Periwinkle is the gray. They are doing just fine.
