I'm so sad. I need to find a new home for my honey pie, Bunkey. Is there anyone here from New York City who would be interested in adopting a beatiful, healthy, tabby?
I had a baby 6 months ago, and due to some weird pregnancy hormonal changes or something, have developed really bad allergies to Bunkey's dander. Before the baby, Bunkey used to spend hours in my lap as I worked, and hang out on top of the back of the couch, rubbing against my face, and sleep curled up by my head. Now, the baby's in my lap, and every time Bunkey comes to give me a love rub, I have to push her away because my eyes start to burn and I feel like someone's choking me. She's also been banned from the bedroom at night because I wake up unable to breathe. She's starting to take the tactic of 'bad attention is better than no attention', and is breaking glasses, biting and running under my feet at night. It breaks my heart to see her so miserable, but caught between a newborn baby and a needy cat, I'm starting to lose it, and I'm afraid I'm going to take it out on Bunkey.
The one happy note is that she is surprisingly gentle with the baby, even when the baby grabs at her fur.
Bunkey is a beautiful 3 year old tabby, adopted as a kitten from the ASPCA. She is full of spunk and life, and is a total lap cat. She wants nothing more than your total, undivided love and attention. In return, she will follow you from room to room, inspect everything you're doing, hang out with you all day long, sniff your breath, give you love kisses and face rubs and as much love as a cat lover can imagine and want.
Please please please contact me if you live in New York City and would
