There was no point in your responding to my post, Mr. Howe. I've been around dogs all my life although not as small a breed as the Beagle and you're wits in training guide is junk. I've been reading the archives and am very impressed with what I've seen and read so far. If anyone with legitmate advice as to excersises and training tips I can use with Chavakian, the Beagle, it is still much appreciated.

Beagles are very complicated and need further assistance while in the down stay command as they do need to be told twice, go ahead break the rules, your dog does not always hear you the first time, so that is why you are having problems with your beagles, it is due to with-holding the command a second time. And if it still does not listen, try giving it a treat with the down command as it is Christmas time and lets throw out the rules concerning no dog treats with training, Only for Christmas however.
