I once bailed out an injured cat from the city shelter that had been witnessed being thrown from a car. When I got him to our vet, she discovered the cat's leg had been broken BEFORE he was thrown from the car.....the bone was beginning to knit (had been broken in three places)...

Why do people DO that when it is so easy to take them to a local shelter? They may be put down there but it will be a lot more humane than being drowned.

Some years ago, a car came through a local Mall, tossing kittens out the door as it drove by. I caught only one
