Hello everyone, I dont post very often, but so enjoy reading your stories and ideas in the newsgroup. I lost one of my foster this morning. I had to have her put to sleep. She had FIP and was pretty bad, already blind and couldnt walk or stand and wanted to sleep all the time. Im sure I did the right thing as I feel in my heart she was in pain. I had the Foster Coordinator for the rescue group I work with me when it happened and that was a big comfort. I will never forget my little 'Bandita' also known as 'Baby Girl'! I trapped her and she was all feral...then came around and loved me with all her heart. I miss her so much already and have started to cry once again. When will the pain of losing her stop? I know she is in a better place now as she crossed the Rainbow Bridge and will be waiting for me when I get there. It just really hurts and I needed to share this with you as even though you all dont know me very well...I consider you all 'rescue' friends! Thanks for listening.

I'm so sorry to hear this - I lost my ex-feral Solomon to FIP just over a year ago, same symptoms, blindness, difficulty walking. I know we both did the right thing for them, as they had no chance of recovering again - it would have been wrong to allow them to continue suffering when we could do something to stop it.

Hi kccatnsac1, I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of Bandita,it takes alot out of you.I also rescue cats and any animal that needs help. I also wanted to ask if you know of anyone that takes FIV cats. I have a big black male recently neutered all shots and dewormed. He is good natured. I live in the Ft.Lauderdale FL area. Would appreciate any information. Thank you God Bless and keep up the good work!!!!!!!!

Sincerely Dawn

Condolences, Karry. Please take comfort in knowing that because of you Bandita knew how it felt to be loved and safe.
