I hope someone can give some advice to me on this. The dog was a family member ands only 4. she had hurt her back, and took her to the vets and this was xmas eve day and he told us to see if there would be inprovement after this injection she was given, that nite she made a turn for the worse, took her to an emergency vets, but not the one that we had taken her to prior, and they sent us directly to akron vet clinic, and by then she was so bad the vet had to put her down. the xrays and things are all documented plus we have reports from both vet places, i really miss my little lucy. she ,as i see it ,was the cause of a malpractice case on the first vet.i would appreciate it if anyone could talk to me about this, for any info will help

I think you are grasping at straws trying to blame the vet. Back injuries can be very tricky. Generally, spine trauma is treated with anti-infametory steroids. . . probably the injections you are talking about.

Did the vet recommend rest? Was that provided? How was the dog handled following the first visit? In any event, there is no reason the first vet would have known the condition would worsen. And there is no 'proof' that the second vet did the 'right' thing by recommending putting the dog down. . .
