I am trying to find a rescue group for toy poodles and have not had any luck. Recently our beloved poodle who we had for 10 1/2 years was stolden at a rest stop in Texas he has went along for a run as my husband is an over the road truck driver. He wandered off when my husband turned his back for 30 seconds to get something out of his truck my husband called and looke everyplace for him but he just vanished so we know someone took him. I would like to possibly give a home to a poodle who is in need I have rescued several dogs over the years one was a chow who had many health problems and died this spring ( he was only 5 ) I spend almost two thousand dollars trying to get him better but he just has to may paroblems he was a puppy mill dog. I also rescued a youkie she died around 4 months ago of old age she was 14 we had her for 5 years. I have a beagle I rescued 4 years ago and just rescued a mixed dog who was abused and thrown out on the highway we have had him for 6 montsh. I just can't believe someone stold our poodle he was 10 1/2 and had health problems. We live in Indiana and I tried as best as I could to search for him some people even went to the area where he was lost and looked put up posters and even went to homes around the area but he is just gone. I am just heartbroken over this and can only hope he is well and has a good home and that the people who took him thought he was abandoned he was so friendly he would go to anyone. I hope to at least be able to help another dog who may be lost and need a new home. If anyone knows of any rescued toy poodles in need of a home please let me know I work for a vet so the dog would always get good health care.

Hi Pamm, I so sorry your dog is lost! I hope he/she is being taken care of somewhere out there by someone. It sounds like you have a good heart and a lot of love to give. Would you ever consider a poodle who is blind? There are several on the blinddogs website that are looking for a forever home. (I have a dog who has gone blind from glaucoma, but is the most wonderful dog in the world)

The website is:
http://www.blinddogs.com/

Scroll down and click on the 'Blind Dogs up for Adoption' button (there are some toy poodles on page 5 and 6 of available dogs)

But if you don't want to take on that, you can try petfinders at:
http://www.petfinder.org/

Hope you can help out some wonderful dog...

Try www.petfinder.org for groups in your area. If you don't see a dog on there that you like there are thousands and thousands more that the groups have not listed yet. Good luck.
