I am thinking of getting a litter maid litter box. Does anyone have any experience with them? Good or Bad. Thanks,

I've had two of them for about a year. They're wonderful IF:
a. you use really high-quality scoopable litter in them, and b. you don't have any cats with diarrhea.
If your cat or cats develop diarrhea, turn off the Littermaid and go back to a boring litter box. Diarrhea clogs them up horribly.

Have you tried those litter pearl things? They're small white 'pearls' that are supposed to be good for a few months for a single cat. They're amazing - if you wet them they dry almost instantly and dehydrate the...erm...logs. <g> I've heard good and bad about them, but that it's kind of expensive for multi-cat households.

I have one, and with five cats, I have to empty it every day even though we have two regular catboxes, too. Obviously I don't toss the plastic waste box every time: they cost about a dollar each. I can usually make them each last about a month. When I was down to my last one before ordering more, I had pretty good luck wrapping a plastic grocery bag around the box itself sticking the box back in place so it was lined, and then taping one handle to the outside of the hard plastic cover that comes down over the waste. (Just make sure there is enough leeway in the bag to allow the cover to open like it's supposed to). That saves a lot of money and is actually cleaner than dumping
