It Pays To Invest In Education

earthquake china

It seems that one of the phenomenon that is observed following the earthquake in China is that many people arrive to the help clinics with dogs bites.

From a post on IFAW’s site I learn that there are no rabies vaccines in fact the way the Chinese government usually copes with isolated cases of rabies is by killing all the dogs in the area.

Now when the suffering of the people bring this issue to the attention of the world through the medical support teams in the areas maybe the western world can help both by providing the medical help team with rabies shots but also by creating awareness to ways to avoid rabies outbursts, preventive treatments and information that would help release the fear and so avoid unneccessary killings of large numbers of dogs each time one dog in the entire area show sign of rabies.

If things come to our awareness it is possible for us to do something about them so I know that earthquakes are a terrible thing but maybe a little more education for the people and government of China can be achieved as a result from this situation
