This morning as I went into work, a kitten followed me into my building. It's parents are strays and I've been feeding them since I first saw them about six weeks ago... trying to gain their trust. My intention was to get them good homes. The kitten, whom I've been calling Gabrielle or 'Gabby' for short because she likes to talk a lot while I fix her breakfast, is an angle... absolutely loving and beautiful... she never tried to bite or scratch when I picked her up, just curled up on my lap and purred her loudest. I can't believe she was raised outside... in the hours I've spent with her today, she's given nothing but love. I took her to my vet and had her baby checkup and the usual meds done and she breezed through it all (still purring, can you believe it!). I thought I'd finally succeeded in giving her a good home... until I my vet said she tested positive for the feline leukemia virus. I can't take her in now since I have other cats in my home. The parents are still living behind our building, but Gabby is now shut in my parents laundry room. I don't know what to do... She needs a home with other FeLV positive cats, or one with no cats at all where she can sit on someone's lap and be loved. I can't give that to her... She can't stay in my parents laundry room forever... can anyone give me ideas on how to get her a loving home...

It's currently about 15 weeks old. Photo at http://www.gresko.net/tmp/kitten.jpg
