and horrible story!!!!!!

Hi Everyone,

I've never posted before so if I make a goof here, please forgive me.

I just found the website and email for 'Burlington Coat Factory' www.coat.com

PLEASE EVERYONE - SEND THEM AN EMAIL AND LET THEM KNOW YOUR FEELINGS!

I told them in no uncertain terms I will NEVER be a customer again of theirs and that anything I might have spent in their store will be sent the Humane Society and our local SPCA.

I've also started checking labels for just about everything I've purchased since this story hit the news... I will not buy anything from China or the Philippines either. I know I won't really be making a difference, but in my own way I'm not supporting a government that didn't see a problem with what was done.

When Burlington Coat Factory officials found out that dog fur was being used, they stopped selling the coats and offered, and still are offering, full refunds to anyone who purchased one of these coats. I think they acted very responsibly under the circumstances. However, if you don't need a new coat that badly, I'm sure your local SPCA will be happy to receive the donation.

As much as i'm disgusted with the idea of dog and cat fur in jackets, i was surprised when a co-worker brought this story to my attention

I had hoped that this story would make people put two and two together. Dog fur coats are bad because they come from dogs, rabbit fur comes from rabbits, therefor rabbit fur is also bad. But I doubt that will happen. Heck, if you look at Chinese culture, and their relationship to dogs and cats, what they are doing is no better or worse then what we do to cows. (Eat the meat and wear what is left)

I still think if China said it will continue to make jackets out of dogs and cats, but stop allowing the tiger and rhino parts to be sold (walk down a market street in China before you tell me that they have laws prohibiting this) I will be the first in line to support this.
